Music Makers Virtual Sessions FAQs

Our virtual sessions are suitable for the same age range as our face-to-face sessions – babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. We have also had some older siblings unable to resist joining in!

Our virtual sessions are suitable for the same age range as our face-to-face sessions – babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. We have also had some older siblings unable to resist joining in!

Our virtual sessions are easy to access and come in two different options:

  • Weekly Live Zoom sessions – Once booked in for our term of weekly Zoom sessions, we email out your Zoom link and session information at least 24 hours before your session. This information will include any props we might suggest you have to hand for that next session. Aside from a basic music kit, which can either be purchased from our shop or you may be able to put together yourself from musical toys you already have at home, these are usually household items or props.
Our Zoom sessions take place at a set weekly day and time. This helps to provide a little routine to part of your week together!
  • Pre-recorded sessions – Once booked in for our weekly pre-recorded sessions, you will be sent a YouTube link every Monday morning of the termly block.
Although the link is sent out to you every Monday, as it is a pre-recorded session, you get to choose the day and time to watch the session each week, allowing you to work around those hectic home-schooling timetables and all-important nap times!

Not at all! We deliver exactly the same session on the pre-recorded video as we do on our live sessions each week. The only difference is that we can’t see you! (Though lots of tiny tots don’t actually realise this as we still chat away to you all as if we can see you!)

Both of our virtual session options can be watched on your phone, tablet or laptop. If you have a smart tv you may be able to ‘cast’ the session from a device to your television so that it can be viewed on a bigger screen, though this is not essential.
For the Zoom option, you can either access Zoom via the link we email out each week, which will then open in your web browser, or you can download the Zoom App to your device and then select ‘Join’ to enter the session.

Our interactive sessions create the perfect opportunity for you and your little one to engage in an activity together. It is learning, just through a virtual way. After all, music ignites all areas of development in your child and helps promote essential learning such as social and emotional skills, both fine and gross motor skills, language and overall literacy skills. Did you know that introducing and exposing children to music regularly during their early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words?
Another benefit is that technology is allowing us to take away those currently imposed physical barriers to our social connections, providing you and your little one with the opportunity to connect with a community of other families just like yourselves.

Absolutely not! Don’t forget we are delivering the sessions from inside our own homes too and so we have tailored our sessions to accommodate the fact we might all have a lot less space to sing and move about in!

Please note: Due to the young age of children accessing our sessions, they should be supervised at all times.

Parents/Carers participating in our virtual sessions have said:

“Enjoying the sessions so much, they are a highlight of our week!”

“It’s great as we can do them at a time that works for us, as we have so many Zoom lessons!”

“She really enjoys it and stays engaged the whole time. It’s lovely seeing all the other mums and babies too!”
