About Me
In 2011 when I returned to work after maternity leave, I missed seeing my new mummy friends, especially when I couldn’t join them at this great new group called Music Makers! 2 years later, I made it to a few Music Makers sessions following the birth of my second baby. But it wasn’t until 2016, with a third child, no work to return to, mummy friends all back at their jobs and therefore a need to get out of the house to save my sanity, that Music Makers formed part of my “routine”. I became so much part of the furniture that I was asked if I would like to be an official member of the Music Makers team in March 2018.
My pre-parental career has been varied but always people focused & has included roles in Early Years settings as well as music publishing. My love of singing & playing instruments stems from early childhood experiences & opportunities & I was keen to instill a similar passion in my own children. With a background in Education & having volunteered at my children’s school since 2015, I am also keenly aware of the educational value & importance of music for learning & development.
So now I’m privileged to work alongside Jenni & Simba to bring fun, friendship, music & movement into the lives of many more children & families than just my own, whilst simultaneously bringing those children & families into each others lives.
